The only way they'd be the prototypical example of the worst aspects of his writing is if the name was a pun - and "retcon bomb" is pretty darn close to being a pun. Or maybe if the bomb was used on Bill Mumy and James Robinson, with Mumy shouting, "Danger, Danger, James Robinson!" as the bombs hit them.
