They were last seen as active members of Axis Mundi in the New Invaders series that no one read. So were other Invaders foes like the Baroness Blood (a Baron Blood successor from the Raab/Cassady Union Jack miniseries, who killed Spitfire's son in UJ), U-Man, and the Red Skull himself (who was financially backing them).

Not even me, actually.

Nacht changed his codename to Gotteskrieger there, by the way.

So it was Nacht, not Weiss. I must have mixed up the
names because of their meaning in german (Nacht=night,
Weiss=white).

Anyway, the Master Man on Bru's Cap is a new guy? Anyone
knows what happened to Nacht and Warrior Woman?

Best,
Hunter (Pedro Bouça)

The new version, of course, just debuted in Cap (current) #18.

The new Master Man, Axl Nacht, was introduced in Byrne's Namor series, and later turned up as Gotteskrieger of the Axis Mundi, a team of old Invaders villains and their successors who bedevilled the similarly conceived New Invaders in their shortlived title.

Oh sure, but I just mean we could have used some more sign of it in THIS comic, ya know? Spitfire doesn't talk much in the issue.

"...Union Jack makes a comment about her having a crush on Cap, but the crush really isn’t present IN the comic, so I suppose we could have used some more character work with Spitfire."

This is probably a nod to the old "Invaders" comic, where Jackie, as a teenager during WWII, was infatuated with Cap.

Wasn't there a second Master Man? I was under the impression that this Master Man wasn't the same one as the old one (mostly because of the Cable issue though)

To be fair, he appeared on a flashback in Brubaker's
previous storyline, but I guess that's not the answer you
want...

So, the real answer is that Master Man appeared, old and
depowered, on Joe Casey (or was it still James Robinson?)
and José Ladronn's CABLE run! About issue 50 or so. He
died on that story. Does Bru explain how did he get back
to life? Or how did he get his powers back (they had been
stolen by an albino names Weiss on JB's great Namor run)?

Best,
Hunter (Pedro Bouça)
