Welcome folks!

Here we are, at CBR!

Sounds like a campaign slogan, no?

Anyhoo, Comics Should Be Good is now hosted by Comic Book Resources! Neat, eh?

I uploaded the last week of posts from the old blog, plus the Urban Legends Archive (a new, special one-year anniversary Urban Legends Revealed will be up later tonight!). I will probably be adding more archived posts later, so be sure to check the categories listings! Also, there will be some more tidying up as time goes by (I still have to add a lot of blogroll people).

A big thank you (and I must be overly excited about the move, as I forgot to say this in my first post, like a moron) to Stephen Gerding at KungFuRodeo.com for designing this super cool looking site.

If you’re new to Comics Should Be Good, I have a little “mission statement,” as it were, up here. Or, just click on “About” at the top of the page.

Oh look, we even have a FORUM at CBR! How cool is that?

I’d introduce all the other contributors (Greg Burgas, Greg Hatcher, Brad Curran, Paul McEnery, Tadhg Adams, MarkAndrew, Bill Reed, Harvey Jerkwater, Chad, Pol Rua), but I figure it’s best you just get to know everyone by their posts!

Welcome to CBR, Comics Should Be Good, I hope we all survive the experience!

Welcome to the family, guys. Wait till you feast on Jonah’s thanksgiving turkey! ;-)

Congrats on the move, it’s a good fit.

please bring the dog with you, it is part of the charm of the site.

1 will be along, don’t you worry.

Heh, i’m jsut glad to be rid of the freaky dog at the top of the page. Much nicer site without it.

Not sure I like the new site.

Firstly, I tend to switch off images when looking at websites. With images switched off, this site turns blue meaning that you’re left with dark grey text on a dark blue background. The text is unreadable!

Secondly, there’s lots of ads on this site whereas there weren’t any on the old one. This site looks busier whereas the older site looked more elegant.

Thirdly, it takes longer to download this site (probably due to all the ads).

Fourthly, I liked that “freaky dog” (not that I saw it much - like I said I generally switch images off).

So, I’m gonna give the new site a week or so. Perhaps I’ll get used to the new look? We’ll see. If not, then I may not bother visiting (except, perhaps, for the Urban Legends).

BTW, are you now getting paid for doing this stuff Brian?

My adblocker with Firefox is working great — I don’t see a single ad!

The other thing that gives me a chuckle is hearing people who don’t like the new site design. Brings me back to the day a few years ago when CBR last redesigned and people swore they’d never be back because the new design sucked so bad. And, yet, the hits are better now than ever. Ah, memories. . .

Just make sure to keep my prominent place in the blogroll over at this new place! You guys are my bread and butter, baby!!

Love the new site, y’all.

Ohhhh, that was the nigh ending end spoken of. Good, I was hoping you guys were not gonna pull a Graeme - yay!

This is eaxactly what I was talking about on my blog. I appreciate the work you put into this and I look forward to reading more.
