Infinitely Rushed

Tim Leong, over at Comic Foundry, had this awesome bit of news about Infinite Crisis. You all may have heard about how DC has recently been using their tradepaperbacks to correct mistakes in the original comic. However, get this, Infinite Crisis was apparently soooo rushed that DC has not yet released the original art to the original artists, because (according to art dealer Spencer Beck,
As you may have seen, DC recently solicited a Hardcover Collection of the 7 Infinite Crisis Issues. Due to turnarounds associated with getting the individual issues out close to their original schedules, certain artistic choices were made in the interest of expediency that they are now choosing to fix as part of the Hardcover collection. Until the decisions are made as to which pages will be modified and how those modifications are to be done, DC editorial has chosen to not release the pages back from Issues 2-7 until this process is complete. Until the decisions are made as to which pages will be modified and how those modifications are to be done, DC editorial has chosen to not release the pages back from Issues 2-7 until this process is complete.
Readers all noticed a lot of seemingly rushed artwork. I wonder just HOW rushed it was. How much different will the hardcover look?
Either way, it's pretty darn hilarious.

Surely Superboy could just retcon punch the pages into better shape.

Maybe if they rape the art it'll have more dramatic impact.

I think they're saving that for the "Rape Action" Sue Dibny action figure.

In the hardcover, Pantha shoots first.

Maybe all of the bad writing and poor art decisions were a result deus ex...I mean, Superboy Prime punching on the crystalline edges of reality.

So why aren't people complaining about this like they complained about the STAR WARS Special Editions? Dammit, DC, stop destroying our memories of a few months ago!

Maybe they'll give us "bonuses"....like actually inking and coloring the double-paged spreads

Honestly, I expected this. Infinite Crisis was way too hyped up to leave the art as rushed as it was in the individual issues.
It shouldn't have been released to begin with if it wasn't finished, BUT I'm glad they're fixing it.
