Great piece. Lotsa fun, and a different focus--how our enthusiasm and hobby is seen by those non-fans around us.

And, it got me to bookmark and check out Jog - The Blog, so...mission accomplished!

Nice stuff Jog, and a good idea for a regular "thing" CSBG people. I always enjoy Jog's intelligently written reviews - it's nice to have a variety of different yet equally enjoyable approaches to each weeks comics (here, The Savage Critics, The X-Axis and Jog, in my case). I look forward to the final Seven Soldiers disection from Jog!

I didn't read it as I've no interest in yet another "comics of my life" piece, especially one I find so overwritten and - sorry - pretentious.
Then again, that's why I don't read Jog the blog.

On the whole, I'd like to keep it that way. I'm in favour of trying new stuff and exposing people to other blogs, but that's what the link list is for and that's why I've already made extensive use of it and then limited my reading to the stuff I like.
So, uhm, how about linking to stuff or writing why you like another blog. Because if I wanted to read those other bloggers, I would.

This was a fantastic piece. And now I'm feeling wistful, as you've dredged up memories of my own youth in comics.

And oddly enough, I feel like reading some Punisher...
