1940s doctors were incredibly incredibly incurious.  

1970s doctors needed to learn about the weight limit (110 lbs?) needed to donate blood.  That girl in the pink hot pants (yes!) on the cover of AC #403 don&#039;t look like she meets that limit.

In 2006 they&#039;d just toss Superman into the Sun.  That cures everything.</description>
