I'm surprised that Sgt. Frog is considered so accessible-- I mean, it is, but it's also laced with incredibly hardcore Gundam, anime, and other sorts of pop-cultural jokes. If it was an American comic with similar superhero gags, I think people might consider it terribly inaccessible, but I'm not sure what the actual practical difference would be.

Sgt. Frog is one of those titles which I keep expecting to make "good manga to check out" lists, but never does. I've only read the first volume, though (especially sad since I actually have the second and third volumes sitting in the to-read pile).

I like them too. Usually I have nothing to say about them, though. Especially this one. I read David's blog semi-regularly, but since I'm not a manga guy I usually don't have much to say.
