I wrote a favorable entry on it too that was generally similar to yours. It’s not world-changing, but it’s a solid start to a super hero limited series.

I thought it was a fine first issue. Drew me in, that’s for sure. I’ll keep reading. I also liked how the end of #1 tied into Brave New World, which I’m now curious to re-read.

I just read it, and it was pretty good. I didn’t really understand why I needed the new costume though.

I am shocked to see that DC knows of you. I supposed now would be a good time to plug my blog, (martianmanhunter.blogspot.com) which will soon start a story dealing with the mini. I suppose since I am a J’onn from another reality trapped in the DC Reality (I know I’m wierd.) I’ll be one of the slaves or something… End plug.

I thought it was okay. Not really good, but not terrible. The villain/conspiracy skullduggery was all rather generic, down to the “shooting the guy who is vaguely apprehensive” bit.

And, in all honesty, who looks at the Martian Manhunter and says “you know, this guy needs to be more melancholy”?

Dangit, Cronin! I was going to happily ignore this book when I go to the shop tomorrow… but you’ve convinced me to at least take a look at this issue. And if I like the first issue as much as you did, I can even see myself buying more issues (or waiting for the trade).
