Interesting Promotion for The Boys
- by Brian Cronin
- in Announcements
Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's new series, The Boys, is out this Wednesday (The good folks at DC were nice enough to send me a copy, so I should have a review of it up tomorrow). To promote it, Darick Robertson is doing a very interesting promotion with James Sime and the Isotope Comics crew. It is a contest where ten lucky fans can win the chance to see their favorite superhero drawn into an issue of The Boys, and see The Boys beat down that favorite superhero! Click here for details. Clever and twisted stuff - always a good thing!

I picked Hellboy. Not strictly a true superhero, but one of my favorite characters nonetheless, and I'd love to see Robertson draw him, even if it is him getting the living shit kicked out of him. I figure it adds to the fun.

Was it wrong of me to choose Major Victory from "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?" solely to see him get his head spilt open? I know he's the odds-on favorite to win, I know he's got a huge fan following, but the guy kinda bugs me.

Only if it was wrong for me to choose Triplicate Girl so I could get three deaths for the price of one.

Too late I remembered the existence of Squirrel Girl.
