I’ll miss it. Congratulations to Don and Randy on so many years of great reviews on The Fourth Rail. An achievement well worth celebrating. Make sure you two drop me a line when each of your next gigs starts up, so I can pimp it here! And to you folks, check out this collection of Don and Randy’s favorite reviews from their FIVE years at this particular site - some fun, fun stuff collected there.

Consider that line dropped, Brian… Comic Pants (www.comicpants.com) is live as of today, and we’ve got a pretty good number of reviews already up!
Thanks for the shout-out, and for everything y’all do over here. I *love* Comic Book Urban Legends, especially!

I have Randy Lander to thank/blame for my Thor obsession. I remember reading the reviews for Jurgens/Romita’s Thor #1… many moons ago.
A toast to you, good sirs! I intend to keep reading your reviews well into the future.

I discovered the site sometime in ’04 and enjoyed reading their reviews and features when it was still firing on both cylinders. It does indeed make sense to let it lie fallow and then shut it down if you can’t continue to devote the energy to it. Congrats, Don and Randy, on a site well run — and good luck to you on your new ventures!

Wow, I remember when the site opened! Time flies, man. It was a great site but did start to slip in quality in recent times. It’s a shame to see it go but hey, thanks for 5 great years, guys! Best of luck for the future!

I hated The Fourth Rail. Of course, I’d only been reading reviews since this past year, but I found myself disagreeing with what I read about 80% of the time, and found their reviewing system incongruent with what they were saying about the books. That, and that fact that one of them (I forget which one) had the annoying tendency to pick apart one small aspect of the book and rant forever, means I won’t miss this site at all.
