Incredible! This blog looks just like my old one! It's on a entirely different topic but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Outstanding choice of colors!

Woah, Dude.

If you haven't already posted on why you find Archie comics interesting, please do. Or please post a link to the piece.

Because I just don't get it. When I was a kid I found that reading Archie comics after reading Lee/Ditko or whatever made me stupid. Not Richie Rich or Casper stupid but pretty stupid. I'd have to go and read Aquinas' Summa or such and critique it savagely before I could tie my shoes again.

Spider-Man had better not be making a citizen’s arrest, as the laws regarding them in the US make it extremely difficult (if not impossible) to execute one without opening yourself to a load of civil lawsuits, not to mention criminal prosecution.

Hence, the mask.

The cover homage is very much so the remake of Cape Fear.

The "who is it" is very much so Micro-Max.

Unfortunatly I was beaten to both.

And that JLA panel stills cracks me up. Right after
"Countdown to Infinite Crisis" a friend of mine went through his entire collection of Giffen and Dematteis's JLA run to try and remember which issue this was in.

It would just be one more crime added to the long list the Vulture would have had for that day. Spiderman would be making a citizin's arrest when he saw law breaking. He has every right to go after the Vulture. So, although attempted murder might be a "no s***" type of crime, it doesn't get washed away.

I'd press the charges, provided I could either get enough witnesses OR Spider-man himself to come in and corroborate AND that the Vulture couldn't make a "self-defense" claim stick. Since you probably couldn't get Spidey to come in for that (what with him being wanted by the law himself off-and-on through his career), you may have to stick with just charging Vulture with all the rest of the mayhem that he undoubtedly caused in his latest crime spree.

Spider-man can be killed with a bullet. Why wouldn't that be attempted murder?

The character in question is Micromax. I figured it out on hint #4, because i remembered Nightcrawler mentioning it to Cyclops, during that "Fatal Attractions" story.

More specifically, it's the remake of Cape Fear with Robert de Niro in the Mitchum role.

And yes, as DA I'd push thsoe charges, if only to forestall the inevitable guy who shoots his wife and then claims he didn't have intent to kill because he was so sure she was really Ms. Marvel or Spider-Woman in civilian guise.
