3. Eve of Destruction. Wasn’t X-Men #111 a prologue ?
8. Eighth Day
14. Live Kree or Die ? The one where Warbird destroys her credibility.
16. Child’s Play
18. Bloodties

Damn, that was hard. I remember 12, 13 and 15, but not their names.

20. Dead Man’s Hand

Sadly, that’s the only one I know off the top of my head. I remember that one because, this crossover aside, I was really digging the Nomad series as well as the Chichester run on Daredevil. As for the others, I’d have to dig through my collection for the answers, which a) I’m not able to do at the moment, and b) that would be cheating, wouldn’t it? ;-)
-r-

PS – Okay, so I poked around online to find out some of the others, just to satisfy my own curiosity, and I’m actually glad that I don’t remember most of these! Man, some of those crossovers were dismal!

1. Idiot Root
2. Van Strucker Gambit
3. Eve of Destruction
6. First Sign
7. Idol Worship
13. War & Pieces
14. Live Kree or Die
15. Brotherhood of the Fist
17. Gorilla Warfare
18. Bloodties
20. Deadman’s Hand

1. The Idiot Root
3. Eve of Destruction.
8. Eighth Day
14. Live Kree or Die
15. Brotherhood of the Fist
16. Child’s Play
18. Bloodties
20. Dead Man’s Hand

2. The Von Strucker Gambit
3. Eve of Destruction
6. Chasing AIM
8. I want to say 8th day, but I don’t think Iron Man was in this one
10. Blood and Thunder
11. Subterranean Wars
13. War and Pieces
14. Live Kree or Die
16. Childs Play
18. Blood Ties
20. Dead Man’s Hand

Ones I know the name of and am fairly certain:

8. Iron Man (Vol.3) #10 and 11, Thor #17, Peter Parker: Spider-Man #11 and Juggernaut #1 THE EIGHTH DAY

12. Young Justice #44 and 45, Superboy #99, Robin #101 and Impulse #85 WORLD WITHOUT YOUNG JUSTICE

14. Iron Man (vol. 3) #7, Captain America (vol.3) #8, Quicksilver #10 and
Avengers (vol.3) #7 LIVE KREE OR DIE

18. Avengers #368 and 369, X-Men #26, Avengers West Coast #101 and
Uncanny X-Men #307 BLOODTIES

Ones I am familiar with, but I cannot confirm the name:

10. Thor #468-471, Silver Surfer #86-88, Warlock Chronicles #6-8 and
Warlock and the Infinity Watch #23-25 Thor goes nuts.

11. Avengers Annual #20, Incredible Hulk Annual #17, Namor, the Sub-Mariner Annual #1, Iron Man Annual #12 and Avengers West Coast Annual #6 TERMINUS FACTOR? I think that was the only one of the Avengers annual crossovers to feature both Avengers titles. I don’t recall Hulk & Namor as part of it though.

15. Green Arrow #134 and 135, Detective Comics #723, Robin #55, and Nightwing #23 BROTHERHOOD OF THE MONKEY FIST or something.

17. Green Lantern #30 and 31 and Flash #69 and 70 GORILLA WARFARE? Hector Hammond, Grodd, Detective Chimp & Rex the Wonder Dog.

Subterranean Wars– That was the one!

3. Eve of Destruction
6. First Sign
8. Eighth Day
10. Blood & Thunder
11. Subterranean War
12. World Without Young Justice
13. War and Pieces
14. Live Kree or Die
15. Brotherhood of the Fist
16. Child’s Play
18. Blood Ties
20. Dead Man’s Hand

Without looking…

1. Batman #472 and 473 and Detective Comics #639 and 640

The Idiot Root?

2. Daredevil Annual #7, Punisher Annual #4 and Captain America Annual #10

The Von Strucker Gambit

3. Uncanny X-Men #392 and 393 and X-Men #112 and 113

The Shattering?

4. Superboy #38-41 and Superboy and the Ravers #10

No clue.

5. JLA #83 and Guy Gardner #15

No clue.

6. Captain America # 449, Thor #496, Iron Man #326 and Avengers #396

First Sign, introducing a new and never-again-seen Zodiac

7. Green Lantern #94 and Superboy #47

Buh?

8. Iron Man (Vol.3) #10 and 11, Thor #17, Peter Parker: Spider-Man #11 and Juggernaut #1

The Eighth Day. Technically, that last comic isn’t Juggernaut #1, which was a one-shot the previous year. It’s called Juggernaut: The Eighth Day, but that obviously couldn’t have been listed as such.

Also, the Iron Man issues were #20 and 21.

This crossover had a sequel of sorts in Avengers v.3 #

9. Detective Comics #685 and 686 and Robin #17

10. Thor #468-471, Silver Surfer #86-88, Warlock Chronicles #6-8 and
Warlock and the Infinity Watch #23-25

Blood and Thunder. Quite possibly the only nin-Vertigo comics storyline in which a godlike superhero makes love to his own hallucinations.

11. Avengers Annual #20, Incredible Hulk Annual #17, Namor, the Sub-Mariner Annual #1, Iron Man Annual #12 and Avengers West Coast Annual #6

The Subterranean Wars.

12. Young Justice #44 and 45, Superboy #99, Robin #101 and Impulse #85

Blerb.

13. Incredible Hulk #390-392 and X-Factor #76

War and Pieces.

14. Iron Man (vol. 3) #7, Captain America (vol.3) #8, Quicksilver #10 and
Avengers (vol.3) #7

Live Kree or Die. Mark Waid anticipates Civil War Frontline by several years and compares deaths caused by a cheesy alien scheme to mutate humans into Kree with the showers at Auschwitz and the Shoah.

15. Green Arrow #134 and 135, Detective Comics #723, Robin #55, and Nightwing #23

Brotherhood of the Fist, notable for revealing that Lady Shiva likes to dress as a monkey and hang out with other monkey cosplayers from time to time.

16. X-Force #32 and 33 and New Warriors #45 and 46

Child’s Play. This ended the miserably bad Upstarts plot from the post-Claremont/Pre-Image exodus X-books.

17. Green Lantern #30 and 31 and Flash #69 and 70

For the Love of Grodd or somesuch. Notable for reviving Detective Chimp, without which Bill Willingham would have less joy.

18. Avengers #368 and 369, X-Men #26, Avengers West Coast #101 and
Uncanny X-Men #307

BloodTies. Guh.

19. Showcase ’94 #5 and 6 and Robin #6

No clue.

20. Daredevil #307-309, Nomad #4-6, Punisher:War Journal #45-47

Dead Man’s Hand, in which a bunch of nobodies and HYDRA fight over the remains of the Kingpin’s empire in the delusion that anyone thought the big man wouldn’t be put back into the seat of power.

Greg Geren said:
“15. Green Arrow #134 and 135, Detective Comics #723, Robin #55, and Nightwing #23 BROTHERHOOD OF THE MONKEY FIST or something.”

Brotherhood of the Monkey Fist would be the Green Arrow/Kim Possible crossover…

Also, wasn’t this one:

5. JLA #83 and Guy Gardner #15

called “The Trouble With Guys” or something like that? This was the one that took place in the wake of Judgement Day where there was a fake Guy Gardner running around, wasn’t there?

I don’t know any of these.

And I beat Cei-U in Golden Age comic Trivia that one time.

Therefore, this quiz is invalid.

Nobody has guessed #9 yet! I think, although I’m not positive, that that was the story about that British ninja guy and his Chinese gang who was supposed to be Tim Drake’s big nemesis in his own series. They were trying to take over Chinatown or something. King Snake, is that his name? Kind of a lame story by Dixon, with art by Tom Raney, I believe, but since this is all from memory, I could be wrong.

10. Blood And Thunder

My first experience ever with a crossover, and it left a bad taste!

My Grandmother had brought me Thor #460, the start of a ‘bold new era’ in Thor, and I loved it (it became the first book I followed).
I kept buying the series at the newstand. I got annoyed when it became a Infinity Crusade tie in, because I had no money to buy Infinity Crusade (well I could have, but I’d also just discoverd x-books, and was enjoying them, so that’s where my allowance went – I could only afford one book a week, two every other), and although the Goddess played a big role in Thor, he played almost no role in her book.
Anyway, I made it through that, and even tracked down an issue of Infinity Watch – not available at the newstand, which had a crossover of sorts with Thor (it had the same battle from a different perspective).
Anyway, it was all over, the Crusade that is, and it was just back to Thor, and his madness.
The next issue or two built it to a peak and then… then I was suddenly expected to buy mulitple issues of books I 1. Had never heard of or seen 2. Had no intrest in reading.

It put me off crossovers for life.

(I also only brought one over issue of Thor, #475, but it had the High Evolutionary, and the story gave me a headache (literally). It put me off The High Evolutionary and Beast-Men for life).

These are those that I remember.

1. Batman #472 and 473 and Detective Comics #639 and 640: The Idiot Root.

9. Detective Comics #685 and 686 and Robin #17: War of the Dragons.

15. Green Arrow #134 and 135, Detective Comics #723, Robin #55, and Nightwing #23: Brotherhood of the Fist.

19. Showcase ’94 #5 and 6 and Robin #6: I know which one this one is, but I don’t remember the title. It’s the one about some woman who came from a mob family and who was envious of Helena Bertinelli when they both were children, and her brother who as an adult was a priest and a vigilante, or something like that.

19. Carlos, that’s the right crossover, and the name was “Benedictions”

4. Superboy #38-41 and Superboy and the Ravers #10

And I’m not surprised no one else knows it. Don’t read it. Ever.
