Ben Grimm. I would be very surprised if he didn’t win the overall vote.

The Thing. No contest. Especially with Stan Lee writing his dialogue.

As a kid, Mr. Fantastic. As an adult, Ben Grim (although I have a special fondness for the three issues when Luke Cage was a member!).

Wotta revolting predicament! She-Hulk gets the first vote? My Aunt Petunia weeps!
I suspect you can guess who I’d vote for…
It’s clobbering time!

No love for the Torch?

Randy – I just like being contrary, as I don’t really like the Fantastic Four all that much. Of the originals, I guess it would have to be Sue Storm. She’s awesome.

torch first and foremost, but what would he be without ben? and what would ben be without reed? and what would reed be without sue?
actually torch and spidey are cool together in any book.

Reed. FF #340, where Reed stares down the Black Celestial, is just awesome.

Original H.E.R.B.I.E.
Freaky little thing.
Actually, Sue & The Thing (tie).
(Unless it’s “modern” Sue – ie: last 5 – 10 years or so, or “just starting” Sue – when she was useless. Then Benjie takes it.)

Ben Grimm, I suppose, as he’s the fun-but-nuanced everyman character when he’s written properly.

I love She-Hulk, but let’s not consider temporary/replacement members of The Four. Of them all, I like Reed the least. Who doesn’t like Ben, what with his great personality, but he’s a little limited ability-wise (though he can obviously kick ass, which is always cool).
I don’t like Johnny’s arrogance, but he’s got great powers and his team-ups with Spidey are great (as is his relationship with Ben). Sue’s got excellent (but sometimes under-rated) abilities, and she’s the real foundation of the team.
So I’d have to go with Sue, then Ben, then Johnny, then Reed. And Franklin’s a twit.
Anyhoo…

I don’t like Ben. I find him boring and annoying. Of course, that could be partially due to the fact that everyone loves him so much. I have that tendency sometimes.
Franklin is awesome.

A year ago I would have said Reed, so I’ll say She Hulk.

Love love Reed, especially the fascinating amoral scientism he represents. Particularly love how Reed casually stretches to use his scientific instruments–what a useful skill! Sue has by far the coolest powers, though. Johnny and Ben are both kinda meh to me, and I’m a bit miffed that they’re the only two members (aside from She-Hulk) who have had their own regular series.

I used to love Reed until he casually decided to murder Black Goliath. Gotta go with Ben Grimm at this point.

Reed doesn’t represent amoral scientism.
“Ditko Hands” is a damn good name, though!

Ben Grimm. Favorite FF member ANd one of my all-time favorite Marvel characters.

Benjamin Grimm is definitely my favorite nowadays, though when I was a youngster, the Torch was my favorite.
You’ve just gotta love The Thing, and I really wish Dan Slott’s series could come back!
A funny little anecdote from the official site for the new Marvel Ultimate Alliance video game:
“And (voice actor) Gregg Berger, who played the Thing, stopped in the middle of a session and said ‘I love this guy. I could read for him all day.’”

She-Hulk, if she counts. Since she probably doesn’t I’d have to say Invisible Woman.
As a kid I loved Human Torch though.

The Human Torch, thank you very much!
In the movie, when “On Fire” by Lloyd Banks came on, and he realized he needed to go join the team in the fight against Doom, I definitely marked out in the theatre.
Nova flame, bitch.

Susan Storm… when she’s not hanging out in the wig room, or abandoning her children.

Reed Richards, though my esteem of him has taking a beating over the past six months or so…

Wyatt Wingfoot, or whats-her-name the She-Thing.
Naw, just playing, it’d be Ben Grimm. Johnny is an arrogant bully, Sue has no character, and Reed is almost entirely unlikable. So yeah, Ben Grimm, the original monster with a heart of gold.

Johnny Storm, the Human Torch.
All the others are okay, but Johnny’s my favorite.

Gotta go with the Thing. Has been since about, oh 1987 or so, when I picked up my first issue of FF. Almost immediately he replaced Flash as my favorite super-hero ever.

My first impulse was the Thing as well, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Franklin Richards in the old Power Pack series, when he’d have to go to sleep every time something happened so he could join the kids in some wild adventure in his astral/dream body. But yeah, out of the official ”four”, Thing wins. No contest.

I’m still a fan of Reed myself. Incidentally, I’m also ignoring Civil War…
