2011 Top DC Characters #92-89
After nearly 1,400 ballots were cast, YOU the reader ranked your favorite comic book characters from 1-10. I assigned point totals to each ranking and then tabulated it all into a Top 100 list. interesting choices. though the atom thought would come close to making the cut in the top twenty

I love these older covers, they give you a good sense of the story. Newer covers just have generic pin-ups that give you no clue what happens in the story. I’d love to see some melodramatic cover blurbs on today’s comics.

I would assume that the reason a lot of these seem like they should be higher is that they are on almost everybody’s Top 20 or Top 10, but not right in the top spots. So the characters from everybody’s Top 5 will fill out the higher spots (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc.), while the people who were on a lot of lists, but not in the Top 5, will have enough points for the 50 – 100 range.

I also love the fact that it looks like a giant magnifying glass is destroying Rann on the Adam Strange cover.
