After nearly 1,400 ballots were cast, YOU the reader ranked your favorite comic book characters from 1-10. I assigned point totals to each ranking and then tabulated it all into a Top 100 list. We’re now revealing that list throughout Christmas Eve. Here is the master list of all the characters revealed so far. The countdown continues anew…
64. Plastic Man – 245 points (5 first place votes)

63. Firestorm – 277 points (5 first place votes)

62. Starfire – 285 points (2 first place votes)

61. Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) – 299 points (8 first place votes)

I’m not sure I can live in a world where Ninja Bondage Batgirl outranks Plastic man.

Did you not bother to specify which Firestorm, since there’s so many permutations of single characters and pairs of characters forming him? Ronnie Raymond, Martin Stein, and Jason Rusch individually, AND the three possible pairings of those guys, then all the other characters who served as the other half at one time or another.

Almost all of the votes were just for “Firestorm.”

Has there ever been any reason given for all the similarly surnamed Batwomen/Batgirls (Betty Kane, Cassandra Cain, Kathy Kane, Kate Kane), or is it just one of those wacky DC naming conventions?

Betty Kane & Kathy Kane are related, and so are Bette Kane and Kate Kane.
But the real reason is that the names are homages to Bob Kane.

And having a lesbian with the surname Finger is too suggestive
