Sorry, Dwain. Andy must have gotten the link wrong. The last issue of Mister Miracle is around, I swear. The category on the side should take you to it.

I should explain: I tried to click on the link for the last issue of Mister Miracle and it came up for the Frankenstein issue. What's up?

I'm liking this series of colums a lot so far.
A minor quibble: 'The Bride Of Frankenstein' was directed by James Whale. Sir Ian McKellen played Whale in 'Gods And Monsters', a movie about Whale's life.

One need not be a cynic to recognize that this "memory of water" thing is pernicious pseudoscientific twaddle. I can't blame a writer with a love of language and wordplay for borrowing the idea as a poetic device in a fantasy context...but it wasn't necessary to this story, and I hate to think of Morrison seeming to endorse the idea as worthwhile in the real world by mentioning it in a story.

Hi

re: Captain 7

1) I was playing the race card (sorry) in making the somewhat-obvious assumption that Father Time is the former Captain 7. Right physical body type. Fairly right age. Change the football helmet to a bowler hat...

2) There is the fact that every member of the Newsboy Army has contributed to the Sheeda fight. Even the traitors helped out (Wing, Boy Blue, etc.)
Why not Captain 7 "after the unplesantness"

3) How can anyone get out of the Ali Ka-Zoom cabinet?
- how did Zatanna move Gwydion from the cabinet to a jar? (ajar, that's a verrrrry old riddle.)
- how did Sally Sonic escape her cabinet in B #4?
- How did Shilo escape his virtual coffin in MM #4?

Father Time is now an old white guy. He reincarnates every year. I doubt he's Captain 7.

Hi -

I love this series of articles you're doing on Seven Soldiers... I enjoyed most of SS and this is really amplifying that enjoyment tremendously.

Forgive me if you meant this jokingly, but Bride of Frankenstein was directed by James Whale. Whale was played by Ian McKellen in the film Gods and Monsters.
