Matt – I don’t know for sure that it’s Morrison holding WildCats up, but I have heard some rumors about it. I thought it was Lee as well, but I have been disabused of that notion by people who know a lot more about the talent than I do. Of course, putting BOTH of them on a book is a recipe for disaster!

Is it Morrison that’s holding up Wildcats? I would assume it’s the ridiculously slow (and overrated) Jim Lee, who is behind on two books because he’s also doing the art for DC’s online RPG. Or so I’ve heard.

Man, no love for Andreyko’s Manhunter, Terry Moore’s Strangers In Paradise, Richard Moore’s Boneyard, Slott’s She-Hulk, Kirkman’s Walking Dead or either X-Factor or Fallen Angel from Peter David. Those would be my favorite books of the last year…

Good to see some people stepping outside the MorrisonSphere. I mean, he’s doing good work, and All Star Superman is excellent, but if he can’t get a damned script together in six months for something like WildCats, something is wrong. Get in gear, Grant!

Holy crap, they ARE all Morrison comics. Well, he’s had a damn good year. The other comics I mention are almost as fantastic, and Mouse Guard cannot be over-rated.

That may be CBSG retcon number four. I do feel bad that I’m an idiot for not choosing Seven Soldiers as best mini, but I really didn’t think it should count, although since it didn’t end until this year, I also think I’m probably wrong. And I sort of always work from the assumption that Joe thinks I’m an idiot anyway, so I’m used to being condemned in blanket statements by him. Futhermore, one guy choosing nothing but Morrison comics probably balances out Bill and I sharing a brain.
