Lies! That issue of NEXTWAVE was gold! I’m still chuckling over the ton of visual gags that Immonen tossed in there. I think that my favourable reception relates to my initial reaction to the two-page spread gag(s); if you liked it, then you dug the issue, if not, then the whole thing falls apart. A make-or-break gamble from Ellis, but I dug it.

The last issue should rock the casbah anyways.

Of course Gumby rocked! I got the chance to meet Bob and Rick at Wizard World LA last year when this was announced at the Gumby booth. I was hooked. The first issue was great, but this was cooler. Gumby golem and the spirit of Johnny Cash as well! And to top it off, my letter’s in there as well.
