CBLDF is an acronym. Merriam Webster : Acronym: formed from the initial letter or letters of each of the successive parts or major parts of a compound term; also : an abbreviation (as FBI) formed from initial letters :

It doesn't have to form a nifty pronouncable word. CIA isn't pronounced See-ah. FBI isn't Feebee.

And CBLDF is pretty cool.
