Howdy! I understand this is somewhat off-topic but I had to ask. Does running a well-established blog such as yours require a lot of work? I am completely new to blogging but I do write in my diary every day. I'd like to start a blog so I will be able to share my personal experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!

The real tragedy, I think, with 'Nextwave' is that they didn't rush a trade into print ASAP. I mean, they didn't get the trade of the first six issues out until issue 9? 10? And when they did, it was a hardcover, which means that a lot of people continued to wait for the paperback. So by the time you get a real surge in interest for the title (because let's face it, "waiting for the trade" is now an industry catchphrase), you've already cancelled the book.

Two comments/quotes about my love of Nextwave...

"HA! Fear my robot head!"

and

"Nextwave is in your room...and they're touching your stuff"

For me, that pretty much says it all...

I always liked A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) -- those crazy "beekeeper" outfits they wear are pretty cool (much more stylish than, say, Hydra's uniforms). Plus, they're the people who brought us not only MODOK, but also the Cosmic Cube AND the Super-Adaptoid. Those guys don't mess around.

Nextwave tries too hard. Some good moments, sure, but to be honest, I regret buying the issues.

How's about M.M.M.S. (Merry Marvel Marching Society), or F.O.O.M. (Friends of Old Marvel), their awesome swag, over-the-top hucksterism of Stan "The Man" Lee and for an aded bonus, all the bizarre acronym membership levels:
RFY, RFF, etc...

Insane (but innocent) fanboyism, craptacular promos & perks & the driving force that was the "House of Ideas"*.

*(y'know... when they actually HAD original ones**)

**((Actually, while I'm not a huge fan of Civil War, I DO have to admit that I think the fall-out will be pretty wild! Very much like olden times Marvel Universe. Just, on it's ear.)

An acronym that hasn’t shown up…how about SHAZAM!

...that's a good one. Crap.

Well, the Captain Marvel mythos will show up one day. Or maybe several days with various facets. So fear not!

Another theme week? Yes! hell I'd love it if every week had some kind of theme, even if it was a tenuous one.
