Believe it!  And try to deal with the cuteness of my fake daughter and a sixth grade student.  They were PUMPED the final issue finally arrived!

Make fun of a dumb superhero comic, people crawl out of the woodwork. Praise a good comic with cute pictures of kids that love it? Pfffft, nothing.

Does anyone know if there been any word about more “Mouse Guard” books?

Yes, on the inside back cover the Hardcover collection is slated for April and the next mini starts in July.

Shucks, Joe, you’ve been doing this longer than me. You must know the way responses go around here by now. I rarely get lots of comments when I write about my classes either. But any time I suggest fans enable stupid comics by continuing to buy them with all the consumer awareness and discretion of a junkie jittering after a fix, I’m swarmed.

It SHOULD cease to amaze me.

Man, Rice, I don’t like how you’re always positive about comic books.

It drives me insane.

I think I’ve seen the future of American comicdom, and it’s shining with joy and smile.

I didn’t even realize issue 6 was out yet. Have to make a trip to the store soon now. This was one of the best truly “all-ages” titles I’ve ever read. If I knew some little kids I would probably share this with them…since I don’t (thank God…) I shall enjoy it all by lonesome.

Excellent book…can’t wait for the planned sequel.

Sorry Joe, I should have said something yesterday. I love Mouse Guard, and the sixth issue was great! That Peterson guy is a damn good artist. And good for you for getting kids interested in it! Maybe I’ll buy the collection for my nephews or something.

Loved the book and psyched it’s getting the hardcover treatment. I met Petersen at WW: Chicago and he was really nice and he gave a cool quick sketch.

This is a book that I’m really dying to read, but I’m waiting for the collection. More and more, particularly with indie stuff, I want to have it on my shelf rather than little pamphlet form. I think, actually, that Pertesen should consider releasing graphic novels rather than mini series.

They work very well as individual issues, though. There’s a lost art to the individuals that build to a whole.

I think this photo is fake. Everyone knows the kids love the multipart continuity fixing epics. She’s probably got Civil War tucked away somewhere.
