"She married Steve?!?!? That’s so wrong."

I didn't know that either. Ditto.
She deserved better anyway. Steve is one of the worst supporting character ever!

"That issue with Etta as Wonder Woman is a beaut and well worth a read. Actually, I just read Dan Mishkin’s circa 1983-85 run on Wonder Woman (of which this is a part) for the very first time last week and sweet Krypton is that one of the best runs for Wonder Woman ever. Just good, solid entertaining comics with lots of sly postmodern riffs, great (and funny) dialogue and smart nods to the past. It reads like something from now rather than twenty years ago. I’m kicking myself for letting the Don Heck art and the atrociously conceived and designed (though actually quite fun) Gremlins discouraging me from buying it back when I was a teenager."

Haw... Now you've done it!!! You are going to make me spend more money on Ebay hunting this down.

"Etta’s another one of those parts of Wonder Woman’s mythos that creators following Marston over the years just don’t seem to know what to do with (like Steve Trevor, Diana Prince, and apparently the amazons now). I think she’d work great with a Jack Kirby style makeover. She’d lead a sassy team of either rodeo cowgirls or female footballers called The Powderpuff Posse and just go around beating up on pretty much everything."

Oh yeah! Cool and dead on!

"Etta Candy is the Princess of Power"?

If Etta is She-Ra, why's she dressed in Wondie's undies?

There are 2 Ettas presently, the one George Perez came up with and the one Morrison wrote, who was intended to be the original.

Etta Candy has been a pleasant suprise in every Golden Age Wonder Woman comic I own. I just love how Wonder Woman would dismiss any emotional ails Etta would have by saying "All you need is candy!"

You should definitely check out the last few weeks of "What WERE They Thinking?", which is featuring early Wonder Woman heavily right now.

And of course, Etta is featured too. In this entry, for example:
