"I’ll give a cool point for the “They were all on the Fantastic Four” answer, but I was looking for a more obscure connection between those three characters."

They were all members of the Frightful Four (Ben, of course, was brainwashed).

And I like the secondary mutation answer, as well, so a cool point there, too!

I'd rank Mr. Terrific above Batman any day of the week. Batman's got good, practical, well-rounded intelligence, but Mr. Terrific is a scientific genius.

Of course, Luthor's probably smarter than either of them.

Not sure how many of y'all rate this, but the pair of Hercules mini-series by Bob Layton were great fun.

All three comics include a preponderance of asskickery.

OK, that might not be the answer YOU'RE looking for, but it's all that matters.

And it should be worth a cool point, for sure!

All of the covers feature a character who's undergone a secondary mutation. Ben Grimm & Sharon Ventura both underwent further mutation from exposure to cosmic rays, and...

The Batman/Mr Terrific question has come up on a recent thread on the Batman board of the CBR message boards. Apparently it's official that Mr Terrific is the third most intelligent man on the planet. Most people seem to place Batman and Lex Luthor as the top two, but some poor misguided fools suggest that Batman isn't even in the top fifty.

I'd say Batgod from Grant Morrison's JLA is definitely above Mr Terrific, but the one who appears in his own title might be a bit lower

It can't be the Kree thing, since the Thing cover features the other, non-Kree-altered Ms. Marvel.

All the covers invovlve characters who have had their genetic makeup altered by the Kree in some way.

Also, anyone else notice how someone knocking at the door has Cap wondering who is ringing the door bell?
