But McDuffie's still awesome. He should be the next big thing, but he'll probably be one of those creators who isn't massive, but are utterly adored by their fans, like Dan Slott or Gail Simone. I loved the Milestone books, Deathlok is still one of my most fondly remembered series, and Beyond was even better than my high expectations. Then he comes in and fixes JMS' FF in one issue! It'd be nice to see another couple of mini-series, just enough to get it up to the magic twenty-issue mark (for 'The Essential Damage Control', natch.) I also thought pretty highly of 'Beyond!', even if it was a little too hardcore-Marvel-geek oriented at times, and even if Gravity was practically redshirted from panel one.
