Lodestone from the Doom Patrol was changed into something "extra-human" by Grant Morrison. Animal Man became some sort of "Animal God" thing after Jamie Delano left the book and Firestorm became a fire elemental and left Earth. Zeee, zeee, zeeeeee...Superman, baby. That's a great comic. (I'll be talking about it later in the 'Storytelling Engines' series, natch.)
