Updated: Tuesday, February 20th, 2007 at 2:13 AM EST

This weekend is the New York Comic Con, so here is your chance to meet up with yours truly, as well as a bunch of your other fellow comic fans!

There are currently two significant meet-ups planned involving folks from this here comic book blog.

On Friday night, at 8pm, there will be a dinner at Hudson Yards Cafe, 450 10th Ave. 35th St.

I will be there, along with some other comic fan friends of mine.

There most likely will be drinks afterwards. Nothing more fun than drinking with fellow comic fans!

For this event, I would like for you to reply in the comments section, ASAP, if you plan on attending. I would like to have a good head count to see how many seats we need (and the ASAP part is because the event is coming up on us quickly!).

On Saturday night, at Alex Cox’s wonderful store Rocketship, there will be a comic release party (just read the flyer below).

I will be there, too, as will fellow blogger Joe Rice, and tons of other comic book fans.

So, really, folks - if you’re planning on attending New York Comic Con, you really ought to attend one (or BOTH) of these meet-ups. Why would you pass up the opportunity to meet me?

I’ll def. try and make the first night at the Hudson Yards.

I’ll probably be at The Reocketship on Saturday.

B.C., I’ll definitely stop by Rocketship to say hello.

You can all meet up at my Nerdcore Comedy shows at the Comic Con!

Friday @ 6PM
Saturday @ 11AM
Sunday @ 11AM

It’s on the NY Jedi stage in the main entrance hall. It will be hilarious and awesome.

I’m almost certainly up for the dinner on Friday. And I’m delighted it’s taking place in a restaurant closer to the con venue than last year’s dinner.

I envy the folks who can contemplate a trip to Rocketship on Saturday evening. After two solid days of conventioneering (with another full day to follow) I’ll be dead on my feet by then!

“Why would you pass up the opportunity to meet me?”

Fear. If they’re smart, that is.

Brain Cronin is all muscle. Muscular muscle.

Hey Brian, Put me down for Friday. It sounds like good times.

I don’t think I can make either one. I’m from Staten Island, so I’m basically getting on the M34 to 5th Ave., then taking the express bus back home. Also, I was planning on hitting the Shin Chan panel on Friday, because I like the show, and my favorite writing couple (Evan Dorkin & Sarah Dyer) might be there.

As stated in the blog above, I will be there. I may bring my fake sister or semi-human friends.

I know the reason why there’s ntohign on Sunday.

BRIAN CRONIN HATES THE JEWS!

Isn’t Saturday the Jewish Sabbath? So either you’re misinformed, implying that traditional, Christian observances take precedence over meeting fellow comic nerds, or it was just a really bad Jim Norton-esq joke. If that’s the case…

*car crash*

FRUUUNNNKISSSSSS!

Shabbat starts at Sundown Friday and ends 1 hour and 13 minutes after sunset Saturday. So yes, the Hudson yards thing is on the Sabbath. So yeah, I was giving the Cronin a hard time about it. Is cool. We buds.

Rocketship isn’t, by a few hours, so I will be there.

If there’s anything happening Sunday, I’d be game. I’ve been meaning to get to Rocketship for a while, but I figure that after spending Saturday at Javits, I’ll be too tired to make the trip.

How exactly will we know who we are to meet up? Will the party name be under “Comics Should Be Good!”? Should we exchange cellphone numbers or whatever? If so I’d be down. You can email me over at my myspace.

The reservation is under “Brian Cronin.” I’ll be there a little before 8pm, so if you show up by then, all will be good!

But I’ll send you my cell, just in case.

Shout out to all comic fans!!! BTW you can get a free dvd with highlights from comic con at:
