Crimson Dreams lasted eleven issues. Stefano had work in every issue. He even wrote and drew a story called Tales of Somnoval, a sleep fantasy. In issue ten he drew and inked his pages. I drew and inked some of my pages and he inked some of them as well. The story Random Thoughts was expanded and serialized a second time in Caliber Presents issues 11-15 and then collected as a 64 page stand alone. Stefano used to go by Steve when he first came to America but this was changed back to Stefano when Steve Csutoras the writer of Random Thoughts joined Crimson Dreams and we all had to keep their names straight in conversations. Stefano's earliest work is in Acme Comics #3 published in the summer 1983. I believe he was in highschool at the time, it was called The Shambling Thing, written by Doug Hawk.

I believe it did last 11 issues. The creator/publisher of it was a artist named
Frank Albanese, he was attempting to do something a little different. At the time sales were starting to pick-up but unfortunately he simply ran out of funds. He passed away from cancer about four years ago.

"Anyone know what happened to Crimson Dreams? I doubt it lasted terribly long, but maybe someone out there knows!"

You piqued my curiosity. I checked over at Mile High Comics' retail site and they have a listing for 11 issues of Crimson Dreams, so it looks like the adventures you reviewed above didn't last much longer. Interesting to me is the cover to the last issue (cover dated Winter 1987), which is a photo cover of a blonde model holding a gun while dressed in military gear and standing next to a car with a cow skull and helmet on the hood. Not sure what audience they were going for with that one...
