Yesterday, I found The Green Team issue of First Issue Special in a creepy little shop in Fargo, ND for $2.99. I was pleased.

I think Simon's '70's creations, Prez and the Green Team, are to comics what "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and "Reefer Madness" are to movies.

Did he do anything without Kirby that was genuinely good, as opposed to things you'd classify as "it's so bad, it's good" if you were being charitable?

I got a copy of Cancelled Comic Cavalcade in 1996 from someone off the Compuserve comics forum, and started to post reviews of each of the stories to usenet. Here's my archived review of the two Green Team stories on my web page: http://lsh.0catch.com/ccc/cccgt.htm

They are truly hideous, both to read and to look at. The paperhanger was Hitler, by the way. No, really.
