The OGN comment is a good one, Steve, as it reminds me of something Peter Bergting mentioned to me when I had a similar complaint about the first issue of The Portent, where he said, "Yeah, I'd prefer to do it as a OGN, but we can't exactly afford to just take off X months without any income coming in." That's an important point I probably should have mentioned here, as well.

Thanks for your comments, Brian. In retrospect, I could have structured Strongarm #1 to allow for a little more meat in the story. Luckily, Strongarm #2 is almost out, and the two books work as an extra-long first issue when read together.

Maybe I'm just an OGN guy at heart!

Juisarian: Thanks for checking out the book! Click on my name to reach the MySpace page, which has all kinds of extras and stuff.

Billy Dallas Patton drew the first 15-page one-shot of NC, yeah. So technically, he's the first NC artist. But after he drew that sole story, Pat Gleason drew the first arc.

I hated DYNAMO 5 but never I'd never heard of STRONGARM before now. It sounds pretty interesting!

D5 is not something I would normally buy, I only read it for review purposes. Thanks for bringing STRONGARM to my attention though Brian, I am going to check it out now.

Does anybody actually say “Sleazebags” anymore?
Yeah, that goes along with the "not exactly good characterizations" thing. :) They were all a bit cliched. You'd almost expect to hear, "Halt, evil-doer!" :)

The way you structure the introduction, Brian, an uncareful reader could assume that Faerber wrote Strongarm as well.
