I loved this series!!!

To this day, I still laugh my @$$ off at the Avengers parody in #15… Scavengers Assemble! Pidgeon, Scarlet Pooch, Quacksilver, Black Panda, and Squawkeye versus Kangaroo the Conqueror and Ultrog the Robot Gorilla. Yeah, I remembered all those names off the top of my head

I second the request for an Essential Spider-Ham.

I treasure the one issue I have of Spider-Ham, purely for the back-up that features Ant-Ant: A Charles Atlas advert style story that features an anthropormorphic ant who uses the power of Science! to give himself all the proportionate strengths and abilities of an ant.
That’s gold right there.

I loved these–I have them all.
Yes that’s Doc Clamson.

Later stories did often get bogged down in “How many animalized superheroes/villains/celebrities can we squeeze into each issue.” But they were fun overall.

My favorite backup stories were Awful Flight and Croak & Badger.
