We Want YOU!

As you may know, the San Diego Comic Con is coming up this month on July 26-28. Like last year, none of the contributors here at Comics Should Be Good will be attending, so I figured it would be neat if one of YOU folks out there would represent Comics Should Be Good at this year’s convention.

How so? Read on!

All I ask is that you write a daily report about your experiences at the convention. The particulars are all up to you. We will provide a free pass for you to the convention and your reports will appear daily here on the blog.

If you want to be Comics Should Be Good’s representative at the San Diego Comic Con and can commit to writing daily reports, then just let me know in the comments below. If you’re someone I know from commenting here before, that’s cool. If you don’t think I’m familiar with you, then leave a link to a blog or some examples of your writing, so I can make an informed decision on who will be Comics Should Be Good’s Comic Con Correspondent!

Well, I’ll be there for a day (Friday). I’m going to write about that particular day, but not the others, as I won’t be there. So there!

Well, I’d been planning on posting to my blog during the con anyway, and I managed to do daily posts last year, so sure, I should be able to write daily reports. I have some other con reports online as well, but I think the 2006 San Diego posts are probably closest to what you’re looking for.

Good enough for me!

Okay, Kelson, you’ve got the gig!

All right! Thanks!

I’m already pre-registered, so I guess the free pass isn’t necessary. Anyway, you’ve got my email, so let me know the details (where/how to send the reports, etc.).

I am planning on going with a few other friends and was going to drive back home everyday. We’re all going for the movie updates. If there’s an extra ticket, I know a good use for it.

Went to Sandy Eggo Comicom and it was a complete blast. Saw Kevin Smith, Kevin Bacon, Elvira, stars from the original Blade Runner movie, previews of the Halloween remake by Rob Zombie, pilots of REAPERS and SARA CONNOR CHRONICLES, a terrific convention.

Got to speak with a lot of pros in the business, includint Chuck Rozanski fro Mile High Comics about my favorite topic, The Malibu Ultraverse.

Next year, 2008, marks the 15th Anniversary of the beginning publications of the Ultraverse, rights to which are now owned by Marvel.

I think it would be great if folks would e-mail Marvel managing editor Joe Quesada asking him to consider some sort of acknowledgement of that anniversary.

I would love to see a “Best of the Ultraverse” TPB or perhaps a Gold Collectors re-issue of the first issue of each title. It would be terrific if the debut was at next year’s Con.
