Heh – I was just going to say I hope he drops that little bit of… let’s be generous and call it a “quirk,” for the duration.

I’d vote for him. But only if he keeps the exclamation point. I bet it would sway voters.

Um, guys … did you read his declaration? He spends half the time talking about how miserable the incumbent is (which, in politics, is fair enough), but doesn’t really say what HE believes in, not with any specificity. What the hell? That’s what I want to hear from anyone who wants my vote! I guess it’s safe to assume that Maggin’s not politically conservative himself, based on the things he’s criticizing Gallegly for, but: Is he running as a Democrat? As a liberal Republican? As a third-party candidate?
Also: I’m not so sure that everyone in this country “being responsible to a common spiritual authority” is a thing I support, much less something I’d call a “traditional American value.” Rather, I’d say “separation of church and state” is a traditional American value, albeit one that’s under siege.
Finally, how about presenting some ideas about how YOU will make the country better if you’re in Congress, Elliot S!?

Clearly, he’s running on the Kryptonian Ticket, and is in favor of Miracle Monday.
