Let’s see what great comics I’m not buying this week and need to be told about!
Here, good readers, is the shipping list. Here is what I’m purchasing with my hard-earned money:
Star Wars: Legacy #15
Batman #667
Fables #64
JLA: Classified #41
Bad Planet #2
Casanova #8
Dynamo 5 #6
Ghosting #1
Annihilation: Conquest – The Wraith #2
Ant-Man #11 (which supposedly came out last week, but never showed up at my comics shoppe, but which is supposedly arriving here in Mesa this week)
Criminal #8
Daredevil #99
Incredible Hulk #109
X-Factor #22
Cover Girl #4
100 Bullets vol. 11: Once Upon a Crime
Wow, that’s a bunch of comics. As usual, your choices are appreciated, even if they’re obscure. I always enjoy finding out about new things to buy even if I can’t get them that very week. So hit me with your choices!

I would say either Avengers Classic or Jack of Fables.

Well Black Adam is the most interesting character in the world but I’d say the writer is pretty darn untested in a writing capacity in a shared universe.
If the stories in MA FF are all the FVL ones, you really, really want that. The alternate reality issue was a hoot. Not sure if it’s included though.
There’s the Adam Strange Showcase too which is one of the only two 60s DC showcases I’d have any interest in.
GL is Kyle vs Hal, so that should be a sick amount of fun, but it IS in the midst of a storyline.

About the only thing I’m buying this week that you’re not is The Boys, and I know you hate that, so I’m not going to bother recommeding it. Nova #5 looks promising, but it’s part 2 of a four part storyline. However, there should be a decent amount of exposition given that they’re temporarily bringing in a new protagonist who will need to be brought up to speed on the events thus far.
Other than that, I’ve been hearing good things about Black Metal, so I may check that out despite the fact that I find the genre of Black Metal itself utterly moronic.

Wow–I’m having a slow week, with only Criminal and the new B.P.R.D. mini, but just on your list, there’s already six issues I’ll be getting the trades for later on.

What about Powers? I don’t see that on your list.
Then there’s that retro Jon Sable Freelance Vol. 7 which shows some gorgeous art by Mike Grell.

Green Arrow Year One has been so awesome so far.
Glister sounds interesting.
I’d say get…hmmm….I guess Glister, as it is a new number one.

GAY1 #3 – I just love typing that. Plus, with Lost still off the air, it’s nice to get that desert island fix. Un-Men looked fantastic in the Hellblazer preview.
Criminal, I thought, goes without saying, although it is the middle of an arc. X-Factor – comics with an X in the title don’t get any better. For proof, check out…any of the other ones.

Green Lantern 22? It’s actually pretty entertaining so far as a storyline, and you should be able to get caught up so far.

Second that. IDW has done a nice job with reprinting Grell’s best series.
Also a couple other things that look fun that are coming out this week:
Black Metal GN- neat looking little graphic novel from Oni about a couple brothers into Black Metal.
G.I. Joe: America’s Elite #26- Don’t know if you’re a Joe fan but right now’s a good time to check the book out. Mark Powers and Mike Bear are doing an amazing job. I think it’s the best GI Joe has been since Hama’s heyday in the 80′s. This is part 2 of their epic WWIII storyline which is shaping up to be quite good. Certainly better than DC’s story of the same name.

Un-Men!!!
Failing that, Nova.
And if you’re finally in the mood to check Sinestro Corps War out, GL#22.

Stormwatch PHD #10
Along with that I’m getting the 100 Bullets TPB as well.
Good reading this week.

If you’re reading Fables, you should really be reading Jack of Fables, especially for the current storyline. It manages to tie into the “Good Prince” while being completly separate. Plus, Brian Bolland covers. Barring that, GAY1, this should be the big action issue, which is really Jock’s bread and butter.

I also recommend the following previously mentioned books:
Jon Sable
GA Y1
Jack of Fables
Green Lantern
Black Adam
Adam Strange Showcase
What about checking out something old, yet new: Phantom, the ghost who walks seems to be coming out. Is it any good?

Nova #5. And get #4 as well because it is awesome.

Un-Men #1, which I am assuming will be quite cool, based on entirely no real information.

I should point out that the Jon Sable collection Vol. 7 will feature the last interior art work done by Grell in that particular run. He does the covers to issue # 56 and does not draw Jon Sable Freelance again until Shaman’s Tears # 5-8.
Then the new mini-series recently published by IDW.
Get it. It’s a treat to read.
