It was cool seeing the Moon “baby” But do you have a picture of her Mother, “Moon Maid”? I had a halloween costume that I wore in the 60′s that had her face on it and I wanted to see what she looked like again. Thanx

Can anyone help me remember a baby from other space that appeared in the stripin the early to mid 60′s.
She wore some kind of green/blue/silver stripped out fit and wore a clear plastic bubble around her head (space helmet maybe)? She had pigtails that stood straight up on her head. Is this just the memory of a 8 year old or am I remembering correctly? Thanks djack

I dunno about going “strong,” but it’s certainly still going today.

But it was a great strip, and Mrs. Pruneface’s method to finish off Tracy was still the best.

Bill GREAT choice!!! When it comes to exciting stories with excellent villains, and a take no crap hero, you can’t go wrong with Dick Tracy!

Gould’s Tracy is one of the reasons I became an artist/cartoonist. I’ve read and reread the reprint books, comics and now those IDW volumes, over and over and they’re still as fresh and exciting as the first time I read them.

Last year at SPX I started a Dick Tracy sketchbook (it was the 75th anniversary of the strip) and got a lot of nice sketches and drawings from cartoonists all over.

The thing that turns me off about the movie is that Madonna’s in it. Can’t they digitally replace her with, say, Scarlett Johansson?

IDW’s books are fantastic, but just wait: the best Dick Tracy stories and characters are yet to come in future volumes.

We truly live in a golden age when every single strips of many of the greatest comic strips are or will be available.

I love Dick Tracy tons, although I’ve always preferred his early years the most. Once it got into the whole Moon People thing…yeah. Not so much for me. But the art, the dialogue, the characters…really, it was ahead of its time when it debuted and still manages to enthrall me today.
