More on Groth/Ellison

Don MacPherson has an interesting editorial on the topic. You can read it here.

My mom would have loved having one of those binding “no ad hom” agreements between me and my brother when we were growing up. Come to think of it, she’d probably love it now, too.

I like to imagine the judge’s ruling being something similar to that bit on Family Guy where Stewie thinks Brian’s saying he should up for a week if he loses a bet, but then Brian clarifies and says “No, you should just not talk for a whole week.” Cronin was bemused that no one was responding to this last night, but given that this:

The lawsuit sparked a series of verbal salvos online, as Ellison and Groth hurled insults at one another over a virtual fence.

sums all I cared to gleem from the mess, other than that Fantagraphics was potentially in financial trouble again (or really seriously was; I wasn’t paying close enough attention), I can see why there hasn’t been much response. It’s just not the same without Joe Rice saying mean things about Ellison (which I guess he can legally still do).
