The success of the story has absolutely nothing to do with Romulus - it doesn't matter who the bad guys are working for. In fact, I'm fairly sure that the epilogue has been tacked on to the story late in the day. It doesn't even read like Aaron's dialogue. "And before you ask, yes, we took the usual precaution. Moved it through nine countries, using seventeen different couriers, all of whom are now very, very dead." I have no evidence for this beyond the rhythm of the dialogue, but I think that's an uncredited Daniel Way, doing a very bad Mark Millar impression. I just ignored the epilogue. As for Romulus, I think they know exactly who he is there just isn't much to him. I mean, he is an acient savage Wolverine type guy. Thats really all there is too it I think.
