In the Outsiders: Wonder Woman/Grace one-shot, he was just the first writer who I ever saw make Grace a fairly sympathetic character, and even a bit interesting!!!

Cheers, Mr. Andreyko!!

He must’ve done something wrong.

That’s because Andreyko’s aces. OK, DC: When is Manhunter coming back? And what gigs are you giving the man in the meanwhile?

Agreed. I was reading the issues, not paying attention to who did it, and half way through ahd to flip to the cover, wondering “Who wrote THIS?” Seeing his name, I was not surprised. I can’t wait for Manhunter to come back.

I always liked Grace, but I get why a lot of readers don’t. But I totally thougt he protrayed her as very sympathetic and likeable, while still keeping her in character. But I think she would have throttled Batman (and rightly so) when he told that Thunder didn’t make the cut.

At one of the summer convention panels, Didio said they were just waiting on the scripts from Mark. Make of that what you will. After being cancelled, uncancelled, cancelled again, and uncancelled again, I don’t blame Andreyko if he doesn’t have a bunch of scripts in the can yet. He’s probably afraid to start writing only to turn around and get the bad news again…

But yeah, this issue was exactly why we need to see Andreyko on more than just a Nightwing Annual. He’s a fantastic writer that DC really needs to start utilizing more. I would have liked to see him do Wonder Woman if DC hadn’t picked Simone for it, who was my other top choice.

Didn’t follow the Outsiders, won’t follow Batman & the…so I don’t give two figs about Grace (although she seems like a fine and dandy character here). But Andreyko gave Diana a personality for the first time since Rucka! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Even if it was still mired in DC’s editorial & marketing fiat, it was reassuring to see that someone still cares enough to, you know, actually write her.

And I could kiss him for the “I didn’t just arrive in man’s world yesterday” line. And I don’t care what anyone thinks. (Does editorial letting this line through mean we are well & truly done with the Picoult debacle, never to speak of it again?)

See, I like Grace. Just because she’s a Winick creation doesn’t mean she’s inherently awful. Anissa, I’m not sold on yet, but Grace is a-ok by me.
