First time for everything

As I am a sucker, occasionally characters in comics become very dear to me and I love them above all rationality. Such is the case with Looker (bring her back, Dan DiDio!). It's also the case with a few X-Men, two of which appear in this week's (well, it came out last week, but you know what I mean) selection. Long-time readers should know who I love irrationally and therefore can guess at which book I read. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it, because it's a tad disappointing. Still, I want to like it! I really do!

The two X-characters that I loved beyond rationality were Nightcrawler's cousin Amanda and Caucasion, non-mojo-eyed, purple-haired Psylocke. I'd explain why I loved them, but that would imply rationality - which is not allowed in this post.

Excellent, Dane. For me, it's Psylocke (yes, before the ninja-fied her, although that first Claremont/Lee story was brilliant) and Dazzler, along with Rogue. Rationality be damned!

Cool, I really did like Dazzler right around the post-Mutant Massacre era when she went one-on-one with Juggernaut. Hm, come to think of it, I could add in Mariko. I was actually bummed that she didn't marry Logan and thought it was rad that they has sort of an adopted daughter between them - I never did find out what happened to them, having finally phased out my remaining interest in the X-verse by around #300.

Excalibur's always had a deep and impenetrable continuity.
