Unfortunately, the conflict in Master of Kung Fu revolves around the fact that Shang Chi is the son of Fu Manchu. Since Fu Manchi is a licensed character, as is major supporting player Denis Nayland Smith, Marvel apparently cannot issue an Essential MoKF.

It's a shame. Those comics really are essential.

I love most Milligan stuff (except his X-Men)

I don't think anyone would fault you for that. It was far from his best work.

I’ve never read X-Statix, but do know that the line between stupid and silly / wacky can be very thin and pretty much purely subjective.

Unless, of course, you use the actual definition of the word stupid, which is what I'm doing. And that book was certainly not unintelligent, in plot, character, or style. Of course, it was satirical and parodic. That's where the silliness comes into play. Maybe the fact that it didn't take itself totally seriously is what turns people off. That's fine. But that doesn't speak to the intelligence level of the book.

what’s a Doop?

A camera operator, an advisor, a friend, a lover, a limitless pocket of space, and above all, an awesome character from Peter Milligan and Mike Allred's X-Force/X-Statix comic of the early 2000's.

I didn't have Black Bolt even in my top twenty, but will always remember his introduction scene (and the sequence of events leading up to it) as one of the greatest character intros ever. I first read it in a Marvel's Greatest Comics double issue that reprinted FF 44 and 45 that ended with his entrance, smashing through a wall after the other Inhumans had appeared one by one, a dramatic cliff-hanger. When I was fifteen and Vancouver first got a comic book store, FF 46 was the first "old" issue of any title that I desperately had to have.

But my real reason for posting this is to ask, what's with that image of Elektra?? Is she wearing a cup, or this some sort of a residual Skrull thing or what? I know I'm way out of touch, but seriously, what's happening down there?

Thanos and Galactus did pretty well, of course. Howard the Duck squeaked into the Top 50, and Squirrel Girl came pretty close. But it's not looking so good for Shang-Chi, the Ameridroid, Hannibal King, Fin Fang Foom and It, the Living Colossus. And no Uatu the Watcher? Seriously?

Rachel Summers is okay, though I haven't read X-Men since she still sported the rat tail and skintight red leather outfit...

Sentry? Meh...not a fan of Jenkins' pet character.

And Elektra ranking 95th? That surprised me at first, but when I thought about, since Miller revived her Marvel has done jack with her that has been interesting, so I can see people not really caring. The whole Skrull twist was probably the best thing to happen to the character in nearly 20 years...

I never understood the fascination some people had with that character.
