The grey costume under Honorable Mention was my favorite until I saw her the purple costume under #4. Although purple IS my #1 favorite color, the color alone was not what made me like the costume. Her overall appearance in that particular purple tights series was simply beautiful and sexy

#3 and #4 - I hated the tail and her face. Odd though that sometimes the tail is absent in both her purple costumes and sometimes the tail is present. The tail and the whiskers are just...stupid.

Another costume of hers I love is her Guardian of Gotham costume. Basically, it's a revised version of #4's costume. You may like that one too because the her outfit isn't so plain and purple all over.

Btw, I liked Psylocke's purple costume too. Lengthy reason for that one as well. Ha. Long story short... Sexy characters in sexy outfits are appealing as long as the costumes are not ridiculous - for example, bulky costumes only characters like Magneto can fight in and obviously Catwoman and Psylocke can't, and costumes like Vampirella's - admittedly, it's a sexy outfit, but the first thought that comes to mind is her titties flying out of her "sexy swimwear" - it needs a string underneath where her breasts lie to keep her outfit together in extreme physical circumstances.

The only think I don't like about Cooke's redesign are the boots: clunky Doc Martens don't say "catlike" to me.

By the way, where´s Jim Balent? - i had a love/hate relationship with his art over the years…

He's been doing his creator-owned work, Tarot, for many years.

The Hush Catwoman toy was pretty good, but her arm broke because her proportions were too thin.

Some people didn't think the cook brubaker redesign was sexy enough. They've been blinded by softcore porn comics and Greg Horn covers.

The goggles! They do nothing!

The goggles are Waynetech. They do have features built in, such as night vision, distance focusers, and the stuff that you'd expect to find in goggles developed for standard black ops military applications.

#3 and #4 are basically the same costume with minor "hair vs. tail" alterations.

And the Julie Newmar costume is costume is considered a Classic in many circles.

Hell, even the Hally Berry costume can be considered sexy if worn by the right person.

I would go as far as to say that the second version of the Animated Catwoman costume (and even the one currently seen in the CW's "The Batman") are an improvement over the original gray.

Actually, Lee mentioned in interviews for "Hush" that he actually hated the current Catwoman costume and found it incredibly hard to draw (I'm guessing because it lacked a thong), so I doubt he designed the thing.

Catman is portrayed with his "ineffectual loser" characterization, and the unmodified (other than being sized to fit him) suit is funny. That costume isn't overtly "feminine" at first glance, but looks pretty damn goofy on a male figure.

That '70s outfit seems to have stuck around for a pretty long time, and turns up in a lot of licensed material. It's an odd costume, which like the green one, doesn't do much to suggest "cats."

The original "purple dress" outfit makes sense for a Golden Age villainess. I don't think she got very "physical" back in those days, so putting a premium on looking feminine made sense by the standards of the times....

Yeah, I thought it was common knowledge that Cooke designed the costume. It really is the best one she’s ever had.

Either way, when it comes to choosing an example of the cover, I'd go Cooke over Lee any day.

Plus there's the fact that Jim Lee didn't design it. I was Cooke, from ideas by Brubaker & his wife. Quoted from an interview with Brubaker that I found online:

"QUESTION: What influenced the way you designed the new Catwoman costume?
ED BRUBAKER: Snoopy and Emma Peel, sort of.
For a few months after I knew I was taking over the book, and before I actually started work on it or met Darwyn, my wife, Melanie and I would bounce ideas back and forth about the redesign. The only idea I had at first was the aviation helmet with the googles, like Snoopy or Enemy Ace wore - I thought, let's put her in something that a person could conceivably wear, something with a buckle under the chin. I figured, aviation helmet with ears on it - feels more modern, like something you could see on TV - like on Buffy or Angel - but I couldn't figure out what else to do. Then one day while driving, Melanie suggested putting her in an Emma Peel cat-suit, and I said, "Catsuit? That thing is called a cat suit? Then we have to."
When I met Darwyn and got him onboard, I told him this initial basic idea (which my editor had liked as well), and he ran with it, taking the rudimentaries and creating what I think is the coolest costume redesign I've ever seen. That whip as a belt is about the sexiest idea I've ever seen, and I love that 70s zipper ring, too."

Odd that you’d use a Cooke picture for that costume and not one from Jim Lee who designed it.

Given the choice between Lee and Cooke, I don't think it's much of a choice at all.

I'd probably put the Cooke jumpsuit at #1 as well. I do like this outfit she wore briefly in the '70s, though:
