Cover theme game: All 3 cover feature someone who got superpowers/abilities artificially from their father. Night Girl's dad was a scientist who gave her superhuman strength. Cyborg's dad built his body (after causing the interdimensional accident that ate half of him). Elsa Bloodstone was raised by her dad and a robot (in Nextwave), and got her powers from a magic stone given to her. (A near miss: Monica Rambeau got her powers from an interdimensional accident, too, but it was a friend of her father who caused it to happen).

Dan McDaid is head and shoulders above the rest. And it’s not even close.

He is good, but he was two votes away from being kicked out last week - but then both he and the guy who came last last week (I forget his name but he's the one who started off with the goggles shot in the first week) were both victims of just not being suited to the material.

Cap & the gang's all there in the Korvac Saga TPB cover (sure, it's a reprint, but everything about it is post-1970): http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/1/13/Korvacsaga.jpg

Charles Paul Wilson III draws almost exactly like a younger Alan Davis. And that’s a good thing.

I was getting more of a Mike McKone vibe from him, but I see where you're coming from.

From this week's results I'd say the final should be between Charles Paul Wilson III and Dan McDaid. That said I also think both of the people who got kicked out last week should still be in the competition.

Cover Game: The earliest post-1970 cover featuring "Cap's Kooky Quartet" (my personal favorite lineup of Avengers) is the cover to Avengers #92 (1971) - Yeah, Clint Barton is Goliath rather than Hawkeye on this cover, but he's still there!

Of course, I could guess the covers to issues #11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 36 of Marvel Triple Action, but I think that might be cheating.

What is the best superhero/supervillain group name that you have seen involving a pun for the group name (a la The Force of July)?

I heard about a superhero group in a role-playing game called the Lug Nuts. The name wasn't explained, but I figured it out: they keep the wheels from coming off of society.

the Titans Plague story featured Tim Drake (who later led Young Justice and the more recent Titans)
Remember, Cover Theme uses only the characters featured on the cover!

So it'd pretty much have to just be Cyborg! :)

-- Got the Who are They in 3. Was initially thinking (oddly) of Double Dare from Nightwing at first.

-- Charles Paul Wilson III draws almost exactly like a younger Alan Davis. And that's a good thing.

-- Theme Challenge. Hm...all three issues feature characters who became the leaders of big-name teams? Polar Boy came to run the Legion of Super-Heroes, the Titans Plague story featured Tim Drake (who later led Young Justice and the more recent Titans), and Monica Rambeau rose to lead the Avengers from rookie status. In fact, you could go so far as to say "rookie who shot to team leader" is the theme.

Is the theme characters with "stone" in their names? Vic Stone, Stone Boy, and Bloodstone appear on the respective covers.

And on that note, answer for the "Who is It?" is Styx and Stone. I needed all of the questions.
