The previews I've read of the Knauf's current Iron Man book have interested me, and I'll be checking out the trade when it comes out.

I apologize that I did not read the review but the Knaufs have been crafting a good, solid run on Ironman and have been making him a truly interesting character and giving him great stories to work with his new role in the world.

The Knaufs' work on Iron Man is sorely underrated. They've got a brilliant story arc going on that gets half the pub of other, less-polished Marvel books. A damn shame.

I've been reading this Iron Man series since the first issue and I think this is the Knaufs' first really good arc. I was almost ready to give up on the book until a new writer came on, but I'm giving it another chance now. I just hope they can keep getting better.

I know, Mr. The Bloody, but one thing individual issues should do is make people want to come back for more and perhaps seek out the trades. I think that this does a good job with that as well as getting readers involved in the story. I doubt if most first-time readers would start with a trade, so this issue does a good job getting people to perhaps check out a trade.

I liked the review a lot, but keep in mind that this is an issue mid-storyline, so by nature it won't be as good a jumping-on point as, say, the start of an arc.

Also keep in mind that all the recent Iron Man stories are still in print as TPBs; between Extremis, Execute Program, Civil War Iron Man, and Director of SHIELD, all the information needed to fully appreciate the story is out there. Some readers might not like having to start by paying for trades, but that's just the nature of serial fiction. Works well for mangas with their twentysomething volumes of books...
