Man, I really wanted to have â€œInto the Woodsâ€ as my high school play. Itâ€™s my second-favorite musical in the world.

Trust me, there's no more sure-fire way to have a play ruined for the rest of your life. Be glad you didn't.

Man, I really wanted to have "Into the Woods" as my high school play. It's my second-favorite musical in the world. ^_^ And what, no comparison with "Ever After?" Well, I suppose a story would actually have to END to relate to a song about happy endings...

I remember performing "Agony (Reprise)" in class back in college. When presenting it, my scene partner and I disagreed on the pronunciation of "reprise," and corrected each other. Only afterward did we realize we'd duplicated the dwarves/dwarfs exchange exactly.

I didn't read Fables yet this week (holding out for Black Friday sales at my LCS), so I won't push the issue .

I really thought there'd be something to use; "Last Midnight" "Cinderella at the Grave", "I Guess This is Goodbye" "Maybe They're Magic"... It's a good thing I'm very comfortable with my manliness.

Do "Wicked" next! Because I haven't actually seen or heard it, but I've heard it's good.

Other than that, I have a whole new level of respect for you. Love the musical. "The Steps of the Palace" is my favorite scene.

I agree, this is so weird. And, like the thugs from Starman, I also love Stephen Sondheim, so I love that you went there, Brian. But: No match for "Your Fault"? That's the best song in the show! (Though "Agony" rules too, and "Giants in the Sky" and "I Know Things Now" are also fun.) Note to musical-haters: Sondheim's a genius. If you can't appreciate his twisted take on fairy tales, well ... [shrug] Maybe you'll like the soon-to-be-released, blood-soaked musical thriller "Sweeney Todd," which hopefully Tim Burton and Johnny Depp will knock out of the park. (I admit, the performative style for these "Into the Woods" clips might seem a bit over the top for non-theater-goers, but keep in mind: This was a filming of a live performance with the Broadway cast, which means the cast is playing to a HUGE house, which is very different from acting for a bunch of cameras that zoom in so closely.)
