It's also the one not solicited for Feb and the one that I think it least likely for Alonso to keep, judging from past patterns.

Alternatively, the kids might get moved to Bru's Uncanny or Carey's X-Men: Legacy but who knows.

Wait?

The Iron Man Annual comes out?

That for the win. The interviews with Gage have made it sound really fun.

Dan (other dan): Actually, the Conan story you're referring to is the last of a 6 part flashback story.

Dark horse will probably collect all in a tpb one day.

Sonic? Yeah, somebody's reading it, but a large portion of them also draw furry erotica on DeviantArt.

(Actually from what I've heard from a few people, at some point in the past few years, the writing began resembling a deranged furry's attempt to ape Grant Morrison, so that might be worth reading if only for the laughs.)

Umbrella Academy is already on his pull list. And I think he said he reads Invincible through the trades.

I've got nothing to add. Cooke's run on Spirit is almost over (and honestly I rather he work on other stuff. Not that the Spirit is bad but Cooke should be doing his own thing). I might pick up some of those Batman crossover books but the prelude by Morrison didn't excite me. There's Angel: After the Fall which follows up the last season of Angel (ala the new Buffy series). But I'm not expecting that to be as good.

How about Sonic the Hedgehog #182? Seriously 182 issues of Sonic the Hedgehog. Someone has to be reading it.

No love for the Umbrella Academy? It's brilliant--sort of what might happen if Edward Gorey or Charles Addams wrote a superhero comic.

Oh sweet Heaven, new Rex Libris! It is about time.

You have all my books already, so I don't really have a suggestion for you, so I agree with DubipR, vote Simpsons.

"It’s Gage writing Moonstone and Songbird. What can go wrong?"

Hmmm, well Songbird might turn into a literal songbird. But other than that...?

Since you've already tried The Spirit, might I recommend something a little more lighthearted in Simpsons Comics #136.

Its better than the TV show and without all the forced guest voices.

I’m surprised, no amazed to realise that Captain America 32 isn’t on your list. Even if you trade wait for it it is surely good enough to buy floppies as well?

Yeah Greg, it's the book Marvel wants everyone talking about, why the heck wouldn't you get it?

Kurt Busiek's back on Conan #46. I wandered away from the title during Tim Truman's run, but I swooped back in when I saw Busiek was back last issue. It's the last part of a 4 part story that started way back in some issue I never read--but don't let that turn you off immediately. I picked up part 3 and followed right along. Conan is interesting in that I know the mythos well enough to follow along after being dropped in the middle of a story. However, the story needs to be written in such a way that I'm invested enough to be interested. Since I know how a Conan story goes, I can dismiss a marginal story because I know all the beats that will be hit. Busiek is great at mixing the familiar and the novel to create compelling stories. He does it in Astro City, and he does it with Conan. This is his last effort on Conan for the foreseeable future; it would be well worth appreciating his craft one last time.
