As for the comic, surprisingly for Ellis, this is bascily a Hopeful story. It's about being working for good, for no other reason than they can and they should. Surprisingly noble sentiments from the rather bitter Ellis I really liked the TV pilot.

I have no idea why Ellis isn't doing this series anymore, as he doesn't have the excuse of not having the correct artist available, and the concept can literally go anywhere forever.
