Well. I've readed this series completely, and i considered it pretty good, it shouldn't have lasted just 12 numbers, it had potencial, much than other hipervalored-ellis-bores.

I really liked the TV pilot.

As for the comic, surprisingly for Ellis, this is bascily a Hopeful story. It's about being working for good, for no other reason than they can and they should. Surprisingly noble sentiments from the rather bitter Ellis

Never read the comic as I can never find volume 1 in the library, so this isn't a criticism of the source material, but I have seen the pilot episode and it was pretty poor.

I do hope Ellis takes another crack at the series down the line. The concept is impossibly strong and entirely malleable.

Maybe after Desolation Jones is back on its feet?

Maybe...?

I've got them both, and they RULE. I have no idea why Ellis isn't doing this series anymore, as he doesn't have the excuse of not having the correct artist available, and the concept can literally go anywhere forever. Hell, sales don't even really matter, as his trades always seem to do well in the long run.

GET BACK ON IT WARREN!

I was only able to see the first TPB from the library, but I was impressed. And it's a shame that GF didn't get past the pilot...but with Heroes paving the way, I'm sure some network would give it a second look.
