Oh, that’s a good one. It evokes a perfect mood even before you notice the title being spelled out.

Which one did you post for December 8th? And of all the images, why that one?

Which one did you post for December 8th?

It’s from Army@Love.

And of all the images, why that one?

It’s a very impressive, clever cover.

Impressive, probably, but by coincedence, well… You may not have realized that you were putting up a piece of art showing folks in combat gear doing a ‘hommage’ to the ABBEY ROAD cover on the anniversary of John Lennon’s assassination. Not a great act of sensitivity, albeit unintended…

I dunno, to be insensitive, it would have to be intentional, no?

There’s a great SNL sketch on that:

Driver: She’s always been there for me, y’know–she’s, she’s my rock.

Passenger: [incredulous] Your rock?

Driver: Yeah… what?

Passenger: It’s just that last summer my dentist and I were rock climbing, and he fell into a crevasse where he got his foot stuck. The coyotes were circling, so I did what I had to do, and I chewed his foot off with my teeth. So you should be a little more careful with the words you throw around.

So while I’m sorry that you were offended by it, Jim, it definitely was not intentional, so I don’t really see it as a lack of sensitivity.

I can’t be the only one who looked to see if the words “The Spirit” were hidden in the ripples in the puddle
