Tramadol. What is the street value for tramadol.

I say cheers for that because of 3 reasons:

1) Although a little creepy, it was realistic and both of them knew it was a hopeless situation so they never acted on it.

2) At that point in time, both characters where essentially cardboard cutouts with powers and very little definition. The “secret love” angle made them somewhat more interesting (and made New Mutants\X-Men crossovers a little more…lurid.)

3) When I first read those comics I was about the same age as Cypher…and, let’s just say, I was on his side…

Kathleen always deserves cheers. She is awesome. I think she’s one of about eight people in American comics who’s determined to do quality kids’ books. It’s a pity she’s trapped in an industry dominated by the Simpsons’ Comic Book Guy, because if she had a chance to really strut her own original stuff in front of a more general audience, she’d be a megastar. Seriously. You should see the samples she brings to shows, my students think she’s a goddess.

I’ll take that anyday over what Bendis is poppin out at NA.

It doesn’t make the story any better, but at least it explains away any inconsistencies.

Re: New Avengers — there were several moments in the big fight scene where the dialog barely seemed to fit the art. Poor, poor editing. Also, they still have yet to explain how the Hood got so smart. If you read the BKV mini, he does not strike anyone as a criminal mastermind. Are we to assume that the demon is controlling him and giving him all of these leadership smarts?

We are to assume that it’s just how Bendis writes characters, that is to say, he’s prtty loose with past characterization. He did the same thing with Sentry and Echo, why should the Hood be any different?

Even if he is a Mary Sue (and I still don’t think any character who was shown to be as inexperienced, and got his ass kicked quite as often as he did, could be one. Pet charater, sure, but not a Mary Sue) I liked him, and I hope he’ll come back.

Come on, when we see Shiva,Batman, Nightwing and Robin practically swooning over how incredible his martial arts are, how Nightwing needs him to pull his fat out of the fire in a fight (establishing yet another nobody as a superior fighter to Nightwing) and Richard Dragon is basically afraid to face him in a martial arts battle (not deathly afraid, but afraid as in he think this guy is going to be some serious competition)…it was just all so ridiculous to me. The guy is trained in an Abbey with no well known martial arts teachers to teach him, at least nobody that the world’s top martial artists have ever heard of, yet he’s up there with Bronze Tiger, Shiva, Dragon and Batman? And his lifetime of sparring and katas makes him a superior real world fighter than the guy who’s had on the job, life or death stakes fighting experience from like 10 years old (Nightwing)?

I just felt Dixon was trying to cram him down readers throats too hard. The best stories I ever read with him where when Smith had him shot and Winick had him battered and bloodied on a constant basis.

Yeah, but Connor Hawke’s “Zen archer” premise automatically makes him more interesting than the awful, awful Roy Harper, or the Winick pet character of Speedy.

Sorry, but I thought it was just a horrid, horrid cliche. He just came off as David Carradine’s character from Kung Fu combined with Nightwing.
