Did all the votes for Shade the Changing Man get lumped together? All I saw was the Ditko version, but my vote was for the Milligan/Vertigo Shade.

The next step: getting an artist to do a collage of characters for each place, a la Who’s Who’s. For example: Doomday raging while Ryan, G’Nort and Val look a little worried. Or better yet: each character is seen operating his own store on Danny the Street, complete with frilly exteriors.

I’m sensing a groundswell of support for a new ongoing series starring Gnaark, Java and Anthro.

They’d have to fight Vandal Savage a lot, but still find time to tackle other Stone Age relics who kept popping up in the Silver Age, like “the Super-Cavemen of 15,000 BC” who once fought the Blackhawks on flying skiis.

Wow, what an awesome list. I had a feeling that those on my list that didn’t break the Top 100 would be really, really far down the list (Prez, Kid Eternity, Egg Fu). I’m sad I’m the only one who voted for Hoppy the Marvel Bunny, but that’s drowned out by how charmed I am that 9 people voted for the Funky Flashman and even more chose Arak, Son of Thunder (not me, but still). I’m also delighted by the people who picked Gnaark, the Composite Superman and Cheeks, the Toy Wonder. Good show.

Wow, thanks for the full list. I’m going to have to look up quite a few of those character names too.

Oh, and I spotted a couple repeats on the list. Anti-Monitor, Green Lantern Tomar Re, and Kingdome Come Wonder Woman all show up twice.

I had never heard of Gnaark until today, reading ‘Showcase Presents Teen Titans Volume Two’…and he’s on someone’s Top Ten list of DC characters. Weird.

This is funny. I voiced so much displeasure over Mr. Mind not making the Top 100 in prior comments. Then I saw he wasn’t in the entire list…and I figured my survey somehow wasn’t counted. Then I went back to my email and remembered I dropped him off my own list to include Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Still very surprised *nobody* voted for him. That much ambivalence over 52? I thought at least the Skeets/Mind meld would get something for the big reveal. Skeets only got 4 points despite Booster Gold’s strong showing. Ah well.
