She was (1) a singer, (2) a member of the X-Men and Excalibur, (3) recently gained the ability to fly in New Excalibur (EVERY character with energy powers eventually learns to fly) (4) converts sound into light (they used to make a much bigger deal about this - the louder the ambient noise, the more powerful she got) and (5) was a member of the X-Men in the Age of Apocalypse alternate Earth.
