Okay, this was a lot harder to find out than I figured it would be, because the announcement on Newsarama is temporarily not working, which is fair enough, but the info is not available on Prism Comics’ own website, which I found a bit weird, but luckily, I managed to find the information on one of the winner’s blog, so congratulations to this winners of Prism Comics’ Queer Press Grants (which is $1000 towards making a comic), Justin Hall and Tommy Roddy!
Here‘s Justin’s website (featuring his creation, Glamazonia: the Uncanny Super Tranny…
and here is Tommy’s website, featuring Pride High, about a gay/straight alliance at a super-powered high school.

Congrats to both gentlemen (I’d love to do reviews of each comic, if anyone would care to send me a review copy, hint hint
)!!

I tried reading Pride High, but it is really terrible. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn’t. It was just very sloppily written, and the art was unpretty.

Thanks for being interested enough to hunt for the news down, Brian. It’ll be on the site shortly. Try to cut us some slack; we’re volunteers and sometimes it doesn’t all come together as quickly as we’d like.
Of course, if you might be interested in volunteering … }8=)

The article is up on the Prism site here.
Congrats to Tommy and Justin!
And to Chris Griswold, who didn’t take to Pride High, I’d recommend trying the later issues. I liked the early ones, but the book has gotten better and better as it goes. I know there’s a lot of readers out there who want to read Pride High and don’t know it yet!
